11AP:  Write the analysis of the  two swamp passages.  Defend your answer to this question with evidence and commentary:  Which of the two passages is more subjective?

9th Honors:  Continue work on Pearl body paragraphs.  We turned in the second body paragraph draft in today.

Homework:  Priam Paragraph:  Write one paragraph on the King Priam monologue (Page 12 of the textbook) identifying the point, the purpose, and the tone of the passage.  Use specific evidence (quotes) and commentary to explain the tone.  Write in blue/black ink or type.

11AP:  Today in class we took notes on the Ladder of Abstraction and Deductive versus Inductive organization.

9th Honors:  Today we talked about the essay on The Pearl.  The question we are writing on is:  Were Kino and Juana defeated or victorious at the end of the book?

Homework:  Complete the worksheet on reasons and evidence in preparation for writing the essay.
